Attempt your gameplay after a couple of hours. It is possible that outside weather or uncontrollable issues with the Internet service provider or the game publisher's servers are causing slowness. If waiting a few hours does not resolve your problem, continue troubleshooting.
Remove any electronic devices in between your router and your PlayStation 3. Sometimes, electronic devices can cause interference in wireless travel and removing them can stop the slowness.
Move your wireless router or your PlayStation 3 closer together. If there are large obstacles in between the two devices, such as a wall, it much more difficult for the signal to reach both devices.
Check your other wireless devices. For example, if you have a computer that also uses that router to connect to the Internet, check how quickly it loads Web pages. If the computer is also being slow, you may need to call your Internet service provider to inquire about any problems.
Connect your PlayStation 3 to your router via Ethernet port. Wired Internet will bring faster speeds when your router is working normally. If your speeds return to normal after switching to wired Internet, you may need to call your Internet service provider.
