There is a free service which includes advertisements and a paid service which is advertisement free.
Playstation 3
The PlayStation 3, or PS3, gaming console was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. The PS3 was primarily developed to facilitate console gaming, but the PS3 can also be used in the same manner as a traditional personal computer. The original version of the PS3 did not support Pandora radio.
Pandora on PS3
The PS3 2.53 firmware update, released in 2008, gave PS3 users the ability to stream Pandora radio through their PS3 web browsers. The PlayStation 2.53 firmware release allowed PlayStation users to run Adobe Flash applications that they were not able to execute with the previous PlayStation firmware.
Benefit
The major benefit of being able to run Pandora on the PS3 is that many PlayStation users enjoy listening to music while playing console games. Although the PS3 allows users to play MP3s from their personal music collection, Pandora allows PS3 users to listen to music recommendations they may not be familiar with.
