How to Back Up a PS3 Slim

The PlayStation 3 Slim contains a hard drive that stores all system data. The PS3 Slim has a backup utility to save that data for safekeeping. You will need either a USB flash drive or an external USB hard drive that has enough open drive space to back up your data. You must also format the backup drive to the FAT32 file system using a computer.
