How to Install Saved Game Files on a PS3

Many popular gaming sites offer saved game files, which can be transferred to a USB flash drive and installed on a gaming console such as a PlayStation 3. A saved game file can come in handy if you mistakenly delete your original saved game data. Instead of having to replay a game from the beginning, you can install a saved game file that allows you to start at a specific chapter in the game. Fortunately, the PS3 allows you to install saved game files from a flash drive in a few hassle-free steps.

  Turn on your PS3. If you have a game disc in your console, eject it.

  Insert your flash drive into an open USB port on your PS3.

  Scroll to the ̶0;Game̶1; option on the main menu and select your USB flash drive from the list of options.

  Scroll to the saved game data you want to copy from your flash drive to your PS3. Press the triangle button on your controller, and then select ̶0;Copy̶1; in the sidebar menu. The saved game file will be transferred to the PS3 automatically. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 for each saved game file you want to transfer to your console.
