How to Hook Up a New England Patriots PS3 Wireless Pad to a PS3

Mad Catz produces a line of controllers for the Sony PlayStation 3 console that are officially licensed by the National Football League and feature team logos. The New England Patriots version of the Wireless Pad operates like a standard PlayStation 3 controller and will work with all games. However, before you can start using a New England Patriots Wireless Pad, you must manually synchronize it with the PS3 console.

Instructions

  Plug the small end of the USB cable that came with the New England Patriots Wireless Pad into the port on the back of the controller.

  Plug the other end of the USB cable into any of the ports on the front of the PS3 console.

  Press the power button on the PS3 if the console isn't already running.

  Press the home button in the middle of the controller, which is labeled with the PlayStation symbol.

  Wait for the PS3 console to recognize the new controller and assign it a player number. Once one of the player number slots on the top of the controller lights up, you can disconnect the USB cable and start using the controller wirelessly.
