How to Hook Up USB Cords to a Guitar on the PlayStation 3

You can use the USB guitar with your Playstation 3 that was included with earlier version of RockBand or Guitar Hero game titles. The PS3 includes dual USB ports on the front of the Playstation to connect wired controllers into the console. The USB ports do not require additional drivers or software to make the connection.

     Turn off the Playstation 3.

     Plug the USB cable from the guitar into one of the USB ports on the TV.

     Turn on the PS3 and insert a music game into the PS3's disc tray. Press a button on the guitar's D-pad to verify that the connection is recognized.
