How to Hook Hulu to Your PS3

A Hulu Plus membership, compared with a standard Hulu account, allows you to stream movies and TV shows through your computer or video game system, such as the PlayStation 3. You cannot, however, use the service through the PS3's built-in browser. Instead, you must properly configure your console by downloading the Hulu Plus application and syncing your membership. Once completed, the Hulu Plus application gives you the ability to browse titles just as if you were using your computer.

Instructions

  Turn on the PS3 and eject the disc from the disc tray, if necessary. The XrossMediaBar, also called XMB, loads.

  Scroll to the "Games" section of the XMB.

  Scroll down and select "PlayStation Store." If your console does not sign you in to your PlayStation Network account automatically, enter your sign-in information to log in when prompted.

  Select the spyglass icon at the top-right corner from the PlayStation Store's menu list. A "Search" box opens.

  Enter "Hulu Plus" by typing with the on-screen keyboard. Select the spyglass icon again to launch the search. The Hulu Plus application appears in the results list.

  Select Hulu Plus from the results list and select "Download." The application downloads to your console. Launch Hulu Plus when prompted to begin setup.

  Select "Yes" when asked if you are a Hulu Plus subscriber. The Activate This Device menu loads. You can also opt to sign up for an account by selecting "No."

  Select the "Log in to Hulu Plus" option.

  Type your email and password into the corresponding text input fields by using the on-screen keyboard.

  Select "Login" to finish setup.
