Power on your PlayStation 3 and sign in to your user account.
Scroll to the Settings menu using the left and right arrows on your controller, and then use the up and down arrows to scroll to System Settings.
Press the "X" button on your controller to open the System Settings menu.
Scroll to System Information, and then press "X" to select it.
Locate your PS3's IP address next to IP Address, and then write down this address on a piece of paper.
Acquire your router's IP address, username and password from your network's administrator.
Open a Web browser window on a computer connected to your Netgear router's network.
Type the IP address for your Netgear router into the address bar at the top of the window, and then press "Enter."
Type the router username and password into their respective fields, and then press "Enter."
Click "Firewall Rules" from the main menu.
Click the "Add" button under Outbound Services.
Click the "Block Always" option under Action, and then click "Single Address" under LAN Users.
Type the PS3's IP address into the Start field.
Click the "Logs" drop-down menu, and then click "Match."
Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the window.
