How to Know if Your PS3 Will Brick

The Sony PlayStation 3 video game console is a complex piece of hardware with various functions. An error code system exists that utilizes a set of LED indicators on the front of the console. Different colors and patterns signify the current status of the individual components of the PlayStation 3. When the console experiences a malfunction that renders it completely inoperable, a specific LED error code signifies that the console is "bricked."       Watch the two LED indicators located on the lower right panel of the console while the operating system boots up. The light on the far right will change from flashing red to solid green when the console is functioning properly.
