Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the back of the Western Digital World Book. Plug the opposite end of the Ethernet cable into one of the Ethernet ports on the back of your wireless router.
Plug the power adapter into the DC power port on the back of the World Book. Plug the AC end of the power adapter into a power outlet. The device will now power on and be detectable by all devices on the wireless network.
Press the PS3's power button. Scroll over to the "Settings" section of the XrossMediaBar. Scroll down to the "Network Settings" option and press the "X" button.
Select the "Easy" option, followed by the "Wireless" option. Select the "Scan" option and select your wireless network from the list of detected wireless networks.
Type the password for the network in the space provided, if necessary. Confirm you want to save the settings and select the "Test Connection" option. Once the connection test is finished, press the "X" button to connect to the wireless network.
Scroll over to the section of the XMB that corresponds to the type of media you want to stream from the World Book. For example, if you want to stream movies, scroll over to the "Video" section.
Scroll down to the World Book media server icon and press the "X" button to connect to the World Book external hard drive.
