How to Hook Up the PS3 Using AT&T

Connect your PlayStation 3 to your AT&T Internet service to access the online features of the gaming console. Once connected, you can download updates for your games or face off head-to-head against other players. Use an Ethernet cable to hook up the networking port on the PS3 to the DSL modem for your AT&T Internet connection. The PS3 is designed to go online and can be configured to your service in just a few minutes.

      Connect an Ethernet cable into the networking port on the rear of the PS3.

      Plug the other end into the "Internet" port on the rear of the AT&T DSL modem or one of the "LAN" ports on your router.

      Turn on your TV and the PS3. Highlight "Settings" in the PS3 screen that appears and press "X." Open the "Network Settings" option. Scroll to the "Internet Setting" entry and press "X." Highlight "Easy" and press "X."

      Highlight the "Test Connection" option and press "X." The network information will appear on the screen if the connection is successful.
