Instructions
Connect the black end of the PS3 component cable to the port on the back of the PS3.
Connect the other end of the cable to the corresponding color inputs on your television. A corresponding color input for each of the five plugs should be attached to your component cable.
Connect the power cable to the back of your PS3, and then connect the other end to a wall outlet.
Turn on your television, and then use your remote control to switch the "Source" or "Input" channel to the "Component" option.
Press the "Power" button on the front of your PlayStation 3 to turn on the device.
Use the left and right arrows on your PS3 controller to navigate to the Settings menu.
Use the up and down arrows to select the "Display Settings" option.
Press "X" to select the "Video Output Settings" option.
Scroll to the "Component" option, and then press "X" to select it.
Press the "X" button to apply the change.
Press "X" to choose the resolutions that your display supports. If necessary, consult your product's documentation for supported resolutions, as not all televisions are capable of displaying all of the possible resolutions. Note that not all display options with component cables are compatible with all of the higher resolution options.
Scroll to the aspect ratio that corresponds to your display, and then press "X" to select it.
Press the "X" button to save your settings.
