How to Fast Forward With a PS3 Move

The PlayStation Move is a motion controller that allows you to target items in games with more precision, and its front includes standard face buttons required to navigate menus and other non-motion compatible interfaces. Although it is not the ideal device for controlling video playback, you can use the Move controller to fast-forward videos playing on the PlayStation3.

     Press the "Select" button on the side of the Move controller to open the Video Options menu.

     Use the directional pad to select the "Fast Forward" icon.

     Press the "X" button to begin fast-forwarding and press "Left" on the directional pad to stop fast-forwarding. To rewind, press "Left" on the directional pad to begin rewinding and press "Right" to stop rewinding.
