How to Add Netflix to PS3

The PlayStation 3, also called PS3, comes with various multimedia capabilities, including Blu-ray playback and online video streaming through Netflix. The console, however, does not come with the software necessary to start streaming movies and TV shows through Netflix right out of the box. You must download the Netflix application and activate your account on the PS3 to get going.

  Turn on your PS3 and sign in to your PlayStation Network account.

  Press the "PS" button on your controller to launch the XMB, or XrossMediaBar.

  Go to the "PlayStation Network" section and open "What's New."

  Choose "Netflix" and confirm the download. The Netflix application installs to your PS3's hard drive after a few seconds.

  Go to "Videos" in the XMB and open "Netflix." An activation code appears.

  Log into Netflix on your computer and visit Netflix.com/activate.

  Enter the PS3's activation code into the "Enter Code" field on your computer. Click "Activate." Your Netflix account activates on your PS3, allowing you to browse items and view your Instant Queue titles.
