How to Use a PS3 Controller for Movies

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a very capable video player. In addition to Blu-Ray and DVD playback, the PS3 also supports many stand-alone video formats such as MPEG, MP4, AVI and DivX. If you don't want to use the official PS3 remote, you can use the PS3 controller to manipulate video playback. Although the controls may take some getting use to, the functions are the same as when you watch any other type of video.

Instructions

Press the "Start" button to play/pause video. The "X" button can also be used to start playback.
