The PlayStation 3 (PS3) has many online features that can be accessed via the built-in wireless adapter available on all PS3 models. Before you can connect to your home's wireless Internet network, the Wi-Fi on the PS3 must be enabled. After it's connected to your wireless network, the PS3 will automatically connect to the network when attempting to get online.

Go to the "Settings" icon on the PS3 main menu. Select "Network Settings."

Scroll down to "Internet Connection," press "X" and select "Enabled."
