How to Set Up PS3 Power Cable

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a high-definition gaming and multimedia device that requires a lot of power. Included with each PS3 is an AC cable that you must connect to an AC outlet in the wall or in a surge protector. The AC cable should be straight, unobstructed and free of any scars or fraying.

     Plug the rectangular side of the AC power cord into the "AC In" port on the back of the PS3.

     Plug the opposite side of the AC power cord into a working AC outlet. If the AC outlet has a power switch, put the switch in the "On" position.

     Press the "Power" button to turn the PS3 on.
