How to Get a Payload on Multiman

Multiman is a backup manager designed for use on the PlayStation 3 gaming console. It comes with a default payload, but you can load an updated or custom payload into the program. The payload contains information that allows Multiman to function properly. Updating your payload can change the functionality of Multiman.

  • PS3 FTP client
  • Computer FTP client
  • Multiman payload update

Instructions

      Connect to your PlayStation 3's FTP client through an FTP client on your computer.

      Copy the "Default.ini" file found in the Multiman directory on your PlayStation 3 to your computer.

      Open the "Default.ini" file using Word Pad.

      Scroll down and change "load_custom_payload=0" to "load_custom_payload=1".

      Click "File" and then "Save" to save your changes.

      Replace the original "Default.ini" file on your PlayStation 3 with the one you just edited.

      Open the payload update program on your PlayStation 3. You will be asked to point to the directory in which the original payload is located.

      Select the path "/dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/payload" to update the payload in Multiman.
