How to Hook Up Drums on PS3

"Rock Band" is a music game that challenges multiple players to hit notes and maintain drum beats in an ensemble. The game features dozens of hit songs from a variety of eras. Each instrument in the "Rock Band" setup connects to your console through a wireless connection. When first setting up your "Rock Band" drum kit, you will need to perform each step correctly to ensure this wireless connection functions properly. After the initial setup, you may occasionally have to re-sync your drum kit to reestablish this connection.

  Turn on your PlayStation 3 console and plug the drum kit dongle into one of the USB ports on the front of your PS3. The dongle is a small square piece of equipment with a USB extension. If you don't have a free USB port, interlink the guitar and drum dongles.

  Press the power button on the back of your drum kit. The power button is located next to the sync button on the back side of the four individual drum heads.

  Press the sync button on your drums, then immediately press the sync button on the drum dongle. Wait for the instrument to sync. When the sync process is complete, the lights on both the instrument and the dongle will stop flashing.
