How to Get a PS3 to Work on a Proscan TV

PS3 is a multimedia gaming console that not only allows you to play your favorite games in 3D, it also allows you to browse the Internet, watch HD Blu-ray discs, listen to music and view phvoto slideshows. PS3s are compatible with both standard-definition and high-definition Proscan TVs. Because PS3s output content in both resolutions, you can connect your game to your TV using a variety of connections.

Instructions

  1. Using HDMI Cable

    • 1

      Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your PS3, then connect the other end into an open HDMI port on the back of your Proscan HDTV.

      Turn on your PS3, then turn on your TV.

      Press the "Input" button on your remote control and select the HDMI channel your game is connected to. For example, select "HDMI 1" if you connected your gaming console to the first HDMI input. You should see your PS3's XMB menu.

    Using Component Video Cable

      Connect the AV connector on the cable to the AV port on the back of your PS3.

      Connect the pins on the cable to the "Component Video" ports on the back of your TV if you are using an HDTV model. The pins and the ports are color-coded. Make sure they are tightly connected.

      Turn on your TV, and then turn on your gaming console.

      Press the "Input" button on your remote control and select the input channel your game is connected to. You should see your PS3's XMB menu.

    Using AV Cable

      Connect the AV connector on the cable to the AV connector port on the back of your PS3.

      Connect the RCA pins (yellow, red and white) on the cable to any open RCA inputs on the back of your TV. Match the colors on the pins to the ones on the ports.

      Turn on your TV, then turn on your gaming console.

      Press the "Input" button on your remote control and select the input channel your game is connected to. You should see your PS3's XMB menu.
