How to Create a PKG File for Any PS3 Game

The PlayStation 3 is a video game console developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. PC Magazine reported that sales of the popular game console reached 50 million in April 2011, making the PS3 one of the best selling consoles of all time. Creating PKG files from Eboot (.bin) files for the PS3 can be a complex process. Fortunately, a third-party application called Elf Auto Modifier has been developed to simply create PKG files from BIN files for you.

Instructions

  Download, install and run the Elf Auto Modifier (see Resources).

  Click on the "Browse" button next to "BIN file." Navigate to the PS3 game file (.bin) on your computer. Highlight it with your mouse and click "Open."

  Click on the "Browse" button next to "Selected drive." Choose your disc drive and click "OK."

  Click on the "Browse" button next to "Parameters." Navigate to the PS3 game folder on your computer and click "OK."

  Click on "Execute." Your PKG file will be created in the PS3 game folder.
