How to Install a Downloaded Game Onto the PS3

The PlayStation Store houses all of the downloadable content available for the PlayStation 3. Many full games and game demos are available for download and can be downloaded directly to the PS3's hard drive. After downloading a game, it is automatically placed under the Game section on the PS3 main menu. Before you can play a downloaded game, it must first be installed.

      Scroll to the "Game" icon on the PS3 main menu (XMB).

      Scroll down and highlight the game you want to install.

    • 3

      Press the "X" button to open the installer. Select "Install" to begin the installation process. A progress bar displaying the size of the game and the approximate installation time will open. After the installation, selecting the game from Game menu will launch the game from now on.
