The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is the third video-game console from Sony. Designed to be played in high definition, the console can be used with an HDMI cable, which can output 1080p video for video games and Blu-ray movies. However, the console can still be enjoyed in standard definition on older TVs, including TVs that have only RF cable inputs. All PlayStation consoles use the same AV port, so you can use the RFU adapter that was manufactured for the PS1 and PS2.
