How to Know When You Are Unbanned on a PS3

The PlayStation Network monitors all users for suspicious activity and actively bans players who acquire a lot of negative feedback from other players. There are two types of bans on the PS3: account and IP. An account ban means you cannot log onto that account from any PS3. An IP ban means you cannot log onto any account on the Internet network it was banned on. Because banned accounts cannot connect to the PlayStation Network at all, the quickest way to find out if you are no longer banned is to try to log in.

     Go to the "PlayStation Network" icon on the PS3 main menu.

     Select "Sign In."

   • 3

     Enter the email address and password associated with the banned account using the onscreen keyboard. Select "Sign In." If the account is no longer banned, you will be connected to the PlayStation Network.
