How to Download a Game Onto the PS3

The PlayStation 3 game system has a built-in internal hard drive that allows the user to store various media, including music, videos, movies and games. The PlayStation Store offers downloadable media for a fee. Rental movies, comics and even games are available for purchase and download straight to your system's hard drive. This media is accessible without the use of an external disk. A variety of PlayStation 3 games, including titles such as "LittleBigPlanet" and "Uncharted," are available for download at any time.

Instructions

      Scroll to the PlayStation Network icon on the main PlayStation 3 menu. This menu appears when you first turn on your system.

      Scroll down and select PlayStation Store.

      Sign in to your PlayStation Network account. If you do not have an account, select "Register" to create one.

      Browse the catalog of downloadable products and select the item you wish to download.

      Select "Add to Cart" to add the game to your cart. Add as many games as you wish to download to your cart.

      Select "View Cart" when you are ready to check out. The "View Cart" button is located on the top right of the PlayStation Store screen.

      Select "Proceed to Checkout."

      Choose "Confirm Purchase."

      Select "Download" for each item to begin downloading the game.
