Set Up MiFi as a Temporary Wi-Fi Hotspot
Plug the smaller end of the MiFI USB cable into the USB slot on the MiFi Device. Plug the other end of the cable into an unused USB port on the computer.
Turn on the MiFi. The power button and both LED lights on the MiFi's front panel should turn green, indicating that the device is ready to connect.
Launch the VZAccess Manager software. Click "Connect WWAN."
Open the computer's Web browser. Type "192.168.1.1" in the address bar. Press "Enter" to open the Welcome screen. Enter "admin" in the password log-in field to open the Home screen.
Go to the "Wi-Fi" tab. Open the "Select Profile" drop-down menu. Select "Temporary Hotspot."
Make a note of the entries listed next to the "Network Name (SSID)," "Network Key" and "Security" type.
Click "Apply." Up to five other Wi-Fi devices can now wirelessly connect to the MiFi.
Wirelessly Connect PS3 to MiFi
Turn on the PS3 console. Turn on the TV the PS3 is hooked up to.
Use the arrow buttons on the PS3 controller to highlight "Settings" in the menu. Navigate to "Network Settings." Press the "X" button on the controller to select the highlighted item. Select "Internet Connection." Select "Internet Connection Settings." Select "Enable." Select "Yes" when prompted to continue.
Highlight "Easy." Press the Right arrow button on the controller. Highlight "Wireless." Press the Right arrow button. Select "Scan."
Highlight the MiFi's Network Name (SSID) from the list of detected Wi-Fi networks. Press the "X" button. Press the Right arrow button to continue. Select the security type used by the MiFi device. Press the "X" button. Enter the network security key for the temporary hotspot you set up in the first section. Press the "Start" button to close the on-screen keyboard. Press the Right arrow button to continue.
Save your Wi-Fi setting by pressing the "X" button. Select "Test Connection" to verify that the PS3 is properly connecting to the MiFi device.
