How to Hook Up a PS3 Motion

The PlayStation Move Motion controller is an accessory for the PlayStation 3 that is used specifically for games that allow you to interact with the game through movement. It's typically used for athletic games including tennis, bowling and golf. In order to use the controller with your PS3 console, you must pair the accessory to the PS3, which links the devices together to maintain a consistent connection.

Instructions

  Push "Power" on the television, and press "Power" on the front of the PlayStation 3 to power it up and display the main menu.

  Plug the PlayStation Motion USB cable into the USB connector port on the bottom of the controller.

  Plug the other end of the Motion's cable into the USB drive on the front of the PlayStation 3.

  Tap "Ps" on the Motion controller to turn on and pair the controller with the console.

  Disconnect the cable from the controller and the console once the "Controller paired" message appears on your television screen.
