How to Troubleshoot a Tritton With a PS3

Tritton headsets connect to your PS3 gaming console, and allow you to listen to your games, movies, and music in 5.1 surround sound. This means you can listen to game and movie effects with precise quality. Occasionally, your headset may run into problems that may diminish the device's performance. A few troubleshooting steps and guidelines may improve audio quality and the overall lifespan of your headset.

      Check the Tritton headset connections if you can't hear any sound.

      Make sure the optical cable is connected to the back of your PS3 and the "Silver

      AX Pro Dolby Digital &Pro Logic Audio Controller."

      Make sure the USB cable is connected to any open USB port on your PS3 and the "Silver

      AX Pro Dolby Digital &Pro Logic Audio Controller." Make sure the "AX Pro round 9-pin" is plugged into the front of the "Silver AX Pro Dolby Digital &Pro Logic Audio Controller."

      Check the audio settings on your PS3 and make sure your Tritton headset is selected as the input and output device. To do so, turn on your TV, and then turn on your PS3.

      Select "Settings" on the XMB menu, then "Accessory Settings" and then select "Audio Device Settings."

      Select "C-Media USB Audio Device" in the "Input" and "Output" section. Speak into the microphone on the headset to test the input signal. Check the "Dolby Digital" light on the headset controller when your game or movie starts.
