How to Hook Up the PS3 Keypad

The PlayStation wireless Bluetooth keypad is an accessory that connects to your console's controller. It enhances your Internet browsing or gaming experience with a miniature keyboard and mouse for better browsing and typing functions. Before you can use the wireless keypad, you must pair it with your PlayStation 3, which establishes a connection between the game console and the device. Once connected, the keypad can be left on top of the controller or removed when not in use.

  Push the power button on the front of the PlayStation 3 game console, and turn on your television.

  Push the power switch up on the right side of the keypad to turn on the accessory.

  Insert the USB cable into an available USB port on the front of the PlayStation 3, and insert the other end of the cable into the USB port on the keypad.

  Remove the USB cable once the PlayStation 3 displays a message on your television screen that indicates it successfully paired with the keypad.

  Place the keypad over your console's controller, and snap it into place to secure it.
