How to Hook Up a PS3 to Wi-Fi

PlayStation 3 comes with an Internet feature that allows you to connect for browsing or online game-playing with a built-in network adapter. The PS3's adapter scans the area for available Wi-Fi connections, and provides an onscreen keyboard for inputting the network's password to connect. Once connected, the console remains connected to the Wi-Fi network until it is manually disconnected.
