How to Make Your Glowing PS3 Controller Glow

The standard PS3 controller is designed to be compatible with most games for the PS3, but it doesn't come in many different styles. If you want to upgrade to a new controller with an extreme design you can always go for a glowing controller. These controllers are made up of a see-through plastic casing and internal LED lights that flash during gameplay. You can turn on the glow feature right from the controller.

  Plug in the cable that runs from your glowing PS3 controller into one of the four USB ports on the front of the PS3 console. If the console is turned on the controller will light up, provided it is not set to "Off."

  Turn the controller over and you will notice the "Settings" switch located in the center of the rear of the unit.

  Slide the switch to the "On" position, the "Off" position or the "Vibrate" position. If the controller is set to vibrate it will light up only when the vibrating rumble packs on the controller are triggered. This happens during particularly intense game play.
