Things You'll Need
Instructions
Purchase an HDMI cable. Connect the HDMI cable to the "HDMI in" port on the back of the TV. Connect the other end to the "AV Multi Out" port on the PS3. This will give you the best quality video from the device.
Purchase a component AV cable. Plug the single end into the "AV Multi Out" port on the PS3. Plug the five jacks in the other end to their color-corresponding ports on the back of the TV. The ports will be labelled "Y," "PB/CB," and "PR/CR" for video and "L" and "R" for audio. This connection will also allow you to view the video in high-definition for Blu-ray.
Buy an S-video connector. Plug the single end into the "AV Multi Out" port on the back of the PS3. Connect the S-video jack into the "S-video" port on the back of the TV and the red and white audio jacks into their corresponding color jack ports. This option represents a drop in quality compared to HDMI and component cables.
Use the provided PS3 composite cable. Plug the single end into the "AV Multi Out" port on the PS3. Plug the yellow, red and white jacks into their corresponding ports on the "AV section" on back of the TV. This gives standard-definition footage and does not take advantage of the PS3's high-definition capabilities.
