How to Make a CL on Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 With a USB

"Modern Warfare 2" is a fast-paced action first-person shooter for the PS3. As with many video games communities, players frequently attempt to modify their games by creating custom maps and new servers. The Challenge Lobby, or CL, is one of the most sought-after game types. Create your own Challenge Lobbies by using a few simple free programs and a USB flash drive.

USB drive
WinZip or other archive software
FileZilla software

Instructions

  Visit Reddotcity.com and download "MrRedDot JB PSE 3.55.zip."

  Open the zipped file to access the three files it contains.

  Delete the ".DS_store" file and save the other two files onto the USB flash drive.

  Rename the ".pkg" file to "Black Box.pkg."

  Remove your USB and insert it into the PS3.

  Start the PS3.

  Update the PS3 by selecting "System Update," followed by "Update via Media Storage."

  Accept the user agreement.

  Wait for the PS3 to finish the download and then automatically turn off. Turn the PS3 back on. Now it will be running the new software.

  Select the "Game" menu, select "Black Box," then run the "Black Box.pkg."

  Start the Black Box under the "Game" menu

  Open FileZilla on the computer while Black Box is running.

  Find your IP address as it is displayed on Black Box. Type your IP address into the "Host" box of FileZilla.

  Navigate to "dev_hdd0," then to "game," then "Blus30377," then "USRDIR."

  Drag the "patch_mp.ff" that you downloaded from Reddotcity.com into this folder and replace the file.

  Press "X" on your PS3 controller to exit Black Box.
