How to Troubleshoot a PS3 Game Talk Wireless Headset

The PS3 Game Talk Wireless Headset is a Bluetooth accessory for PS3 gaming system. It allows you to hear games and movies, and talk with other players. The headset gives you up to 250 hours of standby and 8 hours of talk time on a single charge. With the wireless capability, you can use your device in any part of the room. If your headset isn't working properly, a few troubleshooting steps and guidelines may improve performance.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure your PS3 Game Talk Wireless Headset is connected to your PS3 if you're unable to hear anything. To do so, turn on your headset.

    • 2

Turn on your gaming console, and then turn on your television. You should see the XMB menu on the screen.

    • 3

Select "Settings" and select "Accessory Settings." Select "Manage Bluetooth Devices," and then click "Yes."

    • 4

Click "Start Scanning." Your PS3 searches for Bluetooth devices within range and displays them on the screen.

    • 5

Click on the "PS3 Game Talk" once your PS3 finds the headset. When prompted, enter the passkey, which is usually "1234" or "0000." Press "OK."

    • 6

Press the "Circle" button on your controller to return to the previous menu, and then detect "Audio Device Settings."

    • 7

Select your new Bluetooth in the "Input Device" section.

    • 8

Talk into the headset to test the input. If you've paired it correctly, you should see an input signal on your screen, and hear the sound.

    • 9

Charge your wireless headset if it isn't turning on.
