How to Install the Permissons Package for a PS3

The permissions package for the PS3 enables relevant permissions for language, video, audio and game files on your system. Occasionally, this permissions package may become corrupt due to a bug in your system. Sony releases a system update regularly to fix the permissions package. To install the permissions package on your PS3 entertainment console, simply install the latest system update. A few easy steps will enable you to complete this task.

     Turn on your PS3. Allow the system to boot. You will find yourself in the PlayStation menu.

     Go to the "PlayStation Network" tab. Press "X."

     Scroll to "System Update." Press "X." Click "OK." Allow the system update to complete. You will receive the updated permissions package along with the system update.
