Load the installation CD that came with the LocationFree base station into the computer connected to your wireless network router via an Ethernet cable connection. An installation wizard automatically loads. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the LocationFree software onto the computer.
Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the RF "TV" output terminal on the back of your TV cable or satellite box. Connect the other end of this cable to the RF "VHF/UHF" terminal on the back of the LocationFree base station.
Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the LocationFree base station. Plug the other end of this cable into an unused Ethernet port on your wireless network router.
Turn on the PSP. Slide the WLAN switch located on the left-side of the PSP device to the "On" setting.
Navigate to "Network" in the PSP menu. Highlight "LocationFree Player." Press the "X" button. The LocationFree setting screen is displayed. Press the right arrow button to go to the "Basic Settings" screen.
Highlight "Start" in the Basic Settings screen. Press the "X" button.
Press and hold the "Setup Mode" button on the back of the LocationFree base station until the "Setup Mode" LED light starts blinking. The base station automatically begins registering with your PSP system. The process should take no longer than five minutes. The "Setup Mode" LED light stops blinking when the process is complete.
Press the "X" button on the PSP device once registration is complete. Review the registered network settings. Press the "X" button.
Select "LocationFree AP" from the "Network Connection" menu. Press the "X" button. Your TV screen is displayed on the PSP.
