If you have a PlayStation 3 with Homebrew installed, extract your game saves to an external hard drive. Extracting your save games allows you to send them to other people, alter them using a program on your computer and serves as a backup for your saved data.

Instructions

      Connect your USB hard drive to your PlayStation 3.

      Turn on your PlayStation 3.

      Open the "Settings" menu and then select "System Settings."

      Scroll down and select "Backup Utility" and then select "Backup."

      Select "USB Device" as the destination for your game save files.

    • 6

      Select "Backup." Your game save files are extracted from your PlayStation 3 and placed on your USB hard drive.
