How to Export PS3 Photos With an USB

Your PlayStation 3 (PS3) console is capable of more than just playing video games; it can hold user-created movies, music and pictures as well. While most players are content to store their data directly on the PS3's hard drive, there may come a time when you wish to put your saved photographs onto a USB drive so you can share them with friends or import them to your PC media library. Exporting photos from the PS3 to a USB flash drive is a quick and painless process supported by the system's XMB.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your PS3 system and allow the XMB dashboard to load.

    • 2

Plug the USB flash drive into an empty USB port on your PS3.

    • 3

Scroll to "Photo" and select the image or folder you would like to copy.

    • 4

Press the Triangle button to bring up the contextual menu.

    • 5

Select "Copy," then choose the USB flash drive as the file destination.
