How to Get Your Laptop to Share With the PS3

Unlike most electronic devices, the PlayStation 3 (PS3) doesn't support the common USB method of synchronization. Fortunately, the gaming console does uphold Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) connections. DLNA network communication enables the PS3 to sync and share multimedia files such as music, pictures, videos and applications with other DLNA-compatible electronic devices. Since most computers are DLNA-enabled, they serve as media-server distributors, which make synchronization to the PS3 feasible. With the use of an Ethernet cable connection and Windows Media Player, it should be easy to get your laptop to share with the PS3.
