How to Get Sponsored for the PS3

For video gamers who specialize in PlayStation 3 (PS3) games, consider applying for a sponsorship through Sony, which manufacturers the PS3. Video game sponsorship benefits vary but can include anything from complimentary tournament entry fees and hotel stays to PS3 consoles, games and Sony goods like t-shirts and hats. In order to apply, you must first have a reputation in the video game industry through winning tournaments. Sony wants to sponsor gamers who will act as an advertisement for the company, and if you have a history of winning they are more likely to want to use you as a marketing tool.

  Prepare your gaming resume. This should be done in size 12 point and in Arial or Times New Roman font. The margins on the document need to be one inch on all sides.

  List all of the tournaments and competitions you have won or placed in the top 10. Include the name of the competition, the date of the competition and the award you won.

  Type a cover letter for the resume. This should be typed in business letter format using the same font as the resume. Explain why you want Sony in particular to sponsor you and information on your history in the video game industry.
