How to Delete an Old PSN Account to Make a New One

The PlayStation Network (PSN) was created in order to facilitate the online-oriented multiplayer games that make up the majority of PlayStation 3 (PS3) games. Creating and deleting PlayStation Network accounts can be done locally, but in order to delete and disable them fully, users need to contact Sony through official channels.

      Sign in as the user you want to delete, then navigate to the "Users" menu on the cross media bar.

      Scroll down to account management, then highlight the icon of the current user. Press "Triangle" for options , then press "Delete." The current user and all of their data will be deleted.

      Select "New User" from the account management menu, and put in your information to create a new master account.
