How to Install a PUP Extractor on PS3

PUP files -- or .pup extension files -- are programming extracting installer files commonly used to extract and install updates on PlayStation 3 systems. There are many types of .pup files used in the gaming hacker community to install different kinds of programming information onto a PS3. However, the official extractor files used by Sony for the PS3 are also .pup in format. Installing .pup extractor files onto your PS3 requires that you first place your PS3 into Recovery Mode to accept them.
