How to Make a Top Down Map on Little Big Planet 2

"Little Big Planet 2" is a versatile game that allows players to create unique and innovative levels to play at home or online with friends. One of the most confusing and tempting map options is the top-down map, because it emulates the position of looking straight down over the map. With enough patience, any player can learn to create top-down maps for her friends.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the "Little Big Planet 2" level editor and start a new map.

    • 2

Select an object, which will create a controller on the screen to show the different programming options.

    • 3

Connect an Anti Gravity Tweaker to the object. Increase the effect to 100 percent, the dampening to 40 percent and the buoyancy to 40 percent.

    • 4

Connect an Advanced Mover to the object. Modify the acceleration an deceleration to 100 percent. Connect the vertical indicator from your left control stick to the up arrow on the indicator and connect the horizontal indicator to the left arrow.

    • 5

Connect a Joystick Rotator to your object. Increase the turning speed to about 1,500 to 2,000, depending on personal preference. A higher number will increase the turning rate. Increase your steering value to 100 percent. Connect the vertical indicator from your right control stick to the up arrow on the indicator and connect the horizontal indicator to the left arrow.

    • 6

Enter the level and drive your vehicle. The device that you will created will move as if it were a top-down object. "Little Big Planet 2" cannot properly create a top-down level, but it can emulate the illusion of a top-down level by placing your character in a device that acts as though it were in a top-down map.

    • 7

Build the rest of your level with the Level Editor to complete your top-down map.
