How to Make 3D Work on a PlayStation 3

Three dimensional game technology is designed to make gamers feel more apart of the actual game. The game's world appears to surround you, as you navigate twists and turns in this fictional world. The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is capable of displaying 3D gaming content. To enjoy 3D game content, you have to play it on a PS3 3D game and the console must be connected to a 3DTV, or a television with 3D capabilities. Once the console is connected, you must turn on the 3D feature in the console's settings menu.

  Power on the PlayStation 3, and select "Settings" from the home screen. Select the "X" button the controller.

  Choose "Display Settings" from the settings menu, then click the "X" button on the controller.

  Select "Video Output Settings" and press the "X" button on the controller.

  Choose "HDMI" from the list of connection types, and press "X."

  Select "Automatic" and press "X."

  Choose "Yes" when asked "Can you see this screen?"

  Press the "Up" and "Down" buttons on the controller to select the size of the TV in inches when prompted. Then press the "X" button.

  Click the "X" button on the controller to save your settings. The PS3 is now setup for 3D.
