Instructions
Select "Home" from the "Games" menu to initiate PlayStation Home. Download the files necessary to run PlayStation Home when prompted if you have not done so already. You will be brought to the avatar creation screen, which is known as the Wardrobe. Select "Character" to begin.
Select "Gender," and choose "Male" or "Female." Press "X" to make your selection.
Select "Structure," then select from the numerous preset skull structures or select "Customize" to make your own. This will effect the general shape of your head. Press "X" when finished or "Circle" to cancel and return to the customization screen.
Select "Face" and go through every option available (cheeks, nose, chin, etc) to customize them. You will have to use the left joystick to change the widths of various features and the right joystick to change the positions/scales of various features. Press "X" to finish your face customization and return to the main screen.
Select "Body Shape" in the main customization menu and use the left joystick to change the width and height of your avatar. Press "X" when finished.
Select "Skin" and then toggle through the various color varieties. You can even add features such as freckles. Press "X" when finished.
Select "Hair" and select from numerous hair styles and colors. Press "X" to finish and then press "Circle" to return to the main Wardrobe screen.
Scroll to and select the "Clothing." Go through each category of apparel to select from a variety of virtual clothing for your character. The categories are headgear (hats, for example), hands (gloves), torso (shirts, sweaters, jackets), legs (pants and shorts), shoes, jewelry and accessories which include sunglasses and watches.
