How Do I Set Up a Steering Wheel for NASCAR 09 PS3?

Nascar 09 is a simulation and racing game developed by EA for gaming systems such as Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. This game is developed to work with your PS3 controller by default. You can also find steering wheels that are compatible with both your PS3 and Nascar 09. These steering wheels connect and work just like the PS3 controller. Once the steering wheel is plugged into your console, you must assign the steering wheel as the controller you want to use to play Nascar 09.

  Plug your steering wheel into the power output on your wall. If you are using a steering wheel that uses batteries, skip this step.

  Connect the USB cable that comes with your steering wheel to the USB port displayed on the front of your console.

  Turn on your PS3 console. The CMB (cross media bar) is displayed automatically.

  Navigate to the "Settings" icon and select the option that reads "Accessories" from the drop-down menu.

  Select the option that says "Reassign Controllers." Scroll to your steering wheel displayed in the list of controllers and press the "X" button on your controller. Press the up and down arrow to assign the steering wheel the number "1" to make it the default controller. Once you see a "1" beside the steering wheel, press the "X" button to select it.

  Press the "O" button to go back to the cross media bar. Now you car use the steering wheel as the controller and to play Nascar 09.
