How to Make a Clan Tag Color on Black Ops for the PS3

The "Call of Duty" video game series is comprised of many games that put players into combat throughout various wars in history. "Call of Duty: Black Ops" is a version set during the Vietnam War and features a single player story mode as well as an online multiplayer mode for the PS3. A clan tag is a special addition you can put on your player name to indicate what group you are a part of. You need to complete a specific task before you are able to do this.

Instructions

  Reach the 15th level of prestige. In "Call of Duty: Black Ops" you gain experience the more you play multiplayer mode. If you get enough experience, you can level up your character and unlock weapons and perks. You can get to level 50 before the game will ask you if you want to "Prestige" and start over with level 1. Choose to prestige and repeat this process 14 times to unlock the "Color" option on your clan tag.

  Enter the "Multiplayer" lobby as you normally would once you reach the 15th prestige level. Select the "Live" option and then sign in to your account linked to the PlayStation network. Once you are logged in, choose the "Playercard" option from the main menu before you choose the "Join Match" option.

  Scroll down to the "Clan Tag" option under your playercard. Here you will be able to edit the text that makes up your clan tag. Enter in the text that you want to use, or if you do not want to change it, just select the "Enter" option to keep what you have and move to the next option.

  Choose the color from the list in the next menu that you want to apply to your clan tag. You can choose between, red, green, yellow, blue, cyan and magenta. Highlight the option you want and press the "X" button to choose. You will be taken back to the main screen where you will see the changes applied.
