How to Get Out of Demonstration Mode on a PS3 3.56

Certain PlayStation 3 game systems, primarily those used in retail trial kiosks, operate in a special "Demonstration" mode. The mode resets the console after a set period of time. PS3 demo console users with firmware version 1.5 or above require a special four-digit code to turn off the system's demonstration mode.

      Turn on the game console and wait for the XMB to appear on the screen.

      Navigate to the "Settings" menu and highlight "Security Settings."

      Hold the "L2," "R2," "SELECT" and "SQUARE" buttons at the same time to display the code unlock entry field.

    • 4

      Enter "2297" in the unlock entry field and confirm the selection. Exit the settings menu to complete the process.
