How to Make a Slingbox With a PS3

Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a gaming console that also plays DVDs and connects to the Internet. Using your PS3 with a Slingbox will allow you to broadcast videos from your PS3 to other devices, such as your computer or other televisions. To make the Slingbox, work with the PS3, the two devices must be connected.This is something that can be done in just a few minutes. You will need to have accounts previously set up for both Slingbox and PS3 to make the connection.

Instructions

  Turn on your television, PS3 and Slingbox by pressing their respective power buttons.

  Navigate to the Web browsing option on the PS3. Press the arrow keys on the PS3 controller to get to this menu option. Press the "X" button to make the selection.

  Select "Address", which is located within the Web browser menu on the PS3. Press the arrow keys on the PS3 controller to navigate to this menu option. Press the "X" button to make the selection.

  Point the PS3 Web browser to the Slingbox address that will allow you to connect to your PS3 to the Slingbox. Use the arrow keys to navigate toward the URL textbox on the screen. Press the "X" button to access the keyboard. Press the arrow buttons to move to the necessary letters to type in the address. Press "X" to select each letter.

  Select "Login" on the Slingbox sign-in screen. Press the arrow keys to move to this button. Press "X" to select this button. Type in your Slingbox username and password using the onscreen keyboard as you did previously when typing in the slingbox URL. This will connect your PS3 to your Slingbox. Visuals from your PS3 can now be shared on other devices via Slingbox.
