How to Install Dynamic Themes in PS3 on Compact Flash

Download the PS3 Themes file onto your computer (see Resources).

Insert the CompactFlash memory card into the memory card reader, then plug the USB cable from the memory card reader into the USB port on your computer. A folder for the memory card will automatically appear on your computer desktop.

Double-click the memory card folder to open it, then right-click with the cursor inside the folder window and select the "New Folder" option. Type "PS3" as the name of the folder. Then open the "PS3" folder and right-click to create another "New Folder" inside this folder. Name the next folder "THEMES."

Drag-and-drop the PS3 Themes file into the "THEMES" folder inside the CompactFlash card folder, then remove the memory card from the reader.

Insert the CompactFlash card into the Memory card slot in the front of your PS3 console.

Press the "Power" button on your PS3 to turn it on, then scroll through the main menu to the "Settings" option and then the "Theme settings" option. Press the "X" button on your controller to select it.

Select the PS3 Themes option, then press the "X" button to open it. A listing of available dynamic themes will appear on the screen.

Select the "Install" option on the Themes menu. The PS3 will automatically locate the dynamic theme file on the memory card and install it.
